Prosthetic Lower Limb Liners for Transtibial Amputees

Prosthetic liners are designed to cover the residual limb and to protect it from the socket. Silcare Breathe Liners reduce chafing between the skin and socket and provide sweat management and a more secure fit between the limb and socket.

Silcare Breathe is a silicone liner with laser drilled perforations to allow moisture and air to escape for drier skin and a more secure socket fit. 

Silcare Breathe ACTIVE (previously Silcare Breathe)

Blatchford’s original liner range using a firmer silicone. Suitable for more active users i.e. those who have an activity level of 3 or 4.

Cushion System – use in conjunction with a one-way valve and airtight suspension sleeve helps to generate a better vacuum and more secure fit.

Locking System

Uni-directional stretch distally resists pistoning whilst bi-directional stretch proximally allows for comfortable knee flexion.

Locking system and unique one-way valve create an airtight seal between the skin and the inner surface of the liner. No separate suspension sleeve is required making knee flexion easier, creating a cooler environment for skin and a more comfortable limb and socket connection.

NEW Silcare Breathe Walk

Silcare Breathe Walk has been made using a softer silicone to improve cushioning especially at the distal end. This range of liners are designed to be more flexible, softer and provide increased comfort.

The softer silicone also improves the stretch of the liner. The increased longitudinal stretch makes knee-flexion easier whilst increased circumferential stretch allows the liner to conform more easily and comfortably to the thigh.

Available in both Locking and Cushion versions, the Silcare Breathe Walk range benefits the low to moderate wearers and those with more sensitive or fragile residual limb tissue.

Silcare Active (previously Comfort Liner)

Silcare Active is gentle on fragile skin and is best suited to those with well covered residual limbs. The fabric cover with integrated matrix contours perfectly to the limb and zonal stretch areas allow comfortable knee flexion but resist distal stretch which would result in pistoning.
