Steve Seccombe

Steve was appointed UK General Manager, Patient Solutions at Blatchford in 2020.
Steve’s commercial acumen has helped successfully deliver contract wins and retention for NHS contracts throughout the UK as well as set up and manage the company’s private clinics. He has led change programmes to maximise efficiencies, facilitated continual improvement, driven the adoption of new technology and ensured the quality of clinical practice with robust Governance.
During his 20-year career with Blatchford, Steve has held clinical leadership as well as contract and clinical management roles during which time his strong stakeholder relationship management and commercial skills delivered strong financial performance across the UK.
Drawing on his clinical and managerial expertise Steve spearheaded a major alignment programme when leading the Bergen Clinic in Norway. This paved the way for a major change programme delivered across the Norwegian business.
Steve is a practising clinician and holds an MSc in Clinical Biomechanics. This experience enables practical advice and support to be given in the clinical direction of Research and Development and Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs activities, to ensure our products and service support the achievement of our vision and mission. Furthermore, he is an orthotic expert witness to the courts, has taught at university post-graduate level and is the author for biomechanics teaching modules at post-graduate level.
Steve is currently the chair and treasurer of the International Society of Prosthetics and Orthotics UK Member Society, the only multidisciplinary body for the industry.
