Julia Pragnell

Head of Quality and Regulatory Affairs

Julia joined the Blatchford Executive Team as Head of Quality and Regulatory Affairs in April 2022.  In her role, Julia is responsible for leading the development of our strategic Regulatory and Quality Agenda, identifying priorities and our areas of focus in relation to pre and post-market regulatory responsibilities, this includes collaborating with Research & Development and Commercial teams to define the global regulatory strategy on how we bring products to market and their registration. She is also responsible for the ongoing development and continuous improvement of our Quality Management System and certification to ISO 13485. 

Julia is keen to drive our Quality and Regulatory Affairs organisation forwards to support the growth of the business, to transform our processes through continuous improvement and develop the foundations already in place across the group.  

After graduating with a degree in Business Information Systems, Julia gained wide business and quality experience within the IT sector prior to making her mark in QARA (Quality and Regulatory Affairs) working at Lilly, a global pharma company.  Julia led internal programmes across multi-country locations such as the global testing of the CRM implementation.  In this highly regulated environment Julia was able to develop her skills and understanding of working in environments with high levels of complexity within a fast-paced environment with leading technologies.
