Lucy Kissack
Physiotherapist
I'm Lucy, and I'm the Prosthetic Physiotherapist at Blatchford Clinics. I'd love to tell you about my journey and what makes me tick.
I qualified as a Physiotherapist in 2017 and have been on a fascinating path ever since. I work in the private sector, focusing on Neuro-Rehab and Prosthetics. I also have the privilege of teaching Pilates, which is a real passion of mine. It's fantastic to help people build strength and improve their physical well-being through Pilates.
My journey in physiotherapy began with a BSc Degree from MMU, but I've continued to expand my expertise with various other physiotherapy-related qualifications. I'm certified by APPI, trained in Ante Natal Pilates, and have a Bobath Foundation qualification. Learning and growing in my field is a personal goal of mine.
You'll often find me with friends and family in my spare time, enjoying quality time together. Whether we're out for a walk, at the theatre, or indulging in some good food (both eating and cooking!), I relish those moments. Balance is essential, after all.
I'm a big believer in staying active, and I try to practice what I preach. Swimming, boxing, tennis, and yoga/Pilates are some of my favourite ways to keep moving and stay fit. It's not just a job for me; it's a way of life.
So, that's a little glimpse into who I am and what motivates me. I'm thrilled to join the Blatchford Clinics team and help people on their journey to improved mobility and well-being. Let's keep moving forward together!
I love helping people achieve their goals and manage their symptoms whether that is someone learning to walk again or teaching a Pilates class. I am constantly bringing elements from neurological rehab into prosthetics rehab and vice versa, both I aim to help people restore and use the most efficient movement patterns.
