Welcome to our Derbyshire NHS Clinic
The Blatchford team provide a county wide orthotic service for the people of Derby and Derbyshire, directly commissioned by the CCG.
With a central administration office in Derby we provide a hub and spoke service model delivering both adult and paediatric orthotic outpatient services throughout the whole of Derbyshire at a variety of locations. We also provide in-patient services for Chesterfield Royal Hospital supporting the patients for optimal rehabilitation and discharge.
As a clinical team we work jointly with podiatry, physiotherapy and orthopaedics and are an integral part of the diabetes and paediatric Multi-Disciplinary Teams.
We provide a wide range of both custom and ready-made orthoses including insoles and specialist footwear, ankle foot orthoses (AFOs), knee ankle foot orthoses (KAFOs), knee braces, spinal braces for both acute and chronic conditions, protective helmets.
Referral Process
In order to be seen by the orthotic team you will require a referral from a recognised health care professional such as a G.P., Consultant or Allied Health Professional. Once received your referral will be triaged based on clinical need and urgency and an appointment made at the most appropriate clinic location.
